Envirothon Program
Envirothon is an annual natural resources competition for high school students. Teams of five students compete in the areas of: soils, forestry, aquatics, wildlife, and a certain environmental issue. There are local, state, national, and international Envirothon chapters and competitions.

Virginia Adopt-A-Stream Program
This statewide litter education and clean-up campaign is implemented by the Department of Conservation & Recreation (DCR).
